When you join the team at US Oncology, you get the chance to unite with patients and those who care for them in their fight to beat cancer.

Because we’re involved in so many facets of cancer care, you can join the fight in the area where you can make the best contribution — from engaging in new research to building and staffing cancer centers; from managing finances to expanding clinician education. We even offer opportunities in non-clinical environments, including interfacing with major players in the medical industry, creating new healthcare and distribution technologies, customer support, marketing, and more.

Whether you want the broad perspective that comes from joining our national headquarters or the community focus of working with one of our network practices, you can be sure that what you do every day is part of a critical cause.

About/History:
At US Oncology, we believe every patient should have access to high quality, advanced cancer care, close to home. Through more than 500 affiliated sites of care, including 100 radiation facilities, and the more than 1,300 physicians we unite into the nation’s largest network of community oncologists and cancer researchers, we deploy innovative technology and foster collaboration to advance cancer care in America. Physicians affiliated with US Oncology care for more than 850,000 patients in communities throughout the nation.

We empower patients with the knowledge they need to fight cancer through our affiliation with CURE Magazine and our online Cancer Profiler technology. We provide oral oncology therapies and care support to patients throughout the 50 states. We have helped more than 11,000 patients obtain $80 million in financial assistance. We advance the science of cancer care every day through the over 200 active clinical trials taking place within our network in communities throughout the U.S.

As the nation's leading integrated oncology company, we also work with payers and others in the medical industry to improve cancer treatments and enhance the overall patient experience.

The United Network of US Oncology
We unite the largest community-based cancer care and research network in the nation. Through this network, we help physicians provide enhanced patient care. We foster peer-to-peer collaboration, research, innovation, and provide access to -- and enable the use of -- top quality evidence-based medicine guidelines. Our guidelines are developed by collaborative teams of oncologists and oncology experts from throughout the network who specialize in each disease type.

US Oncology Research
Our research network unites the largest network of community-based cancer researchers in the nation. US Oncology Research conducts all phases of clinical trials, from Phase I through Phase IV, to bring effective new treatments to patients with cancer. At any given time, we have more than 200 active clinical trials. We support 14 sites that offer Phase I trials, including first-in-human trials. Our research network has played a role in the development of 40 new cancer therapies approved by the FDA. To date, more than 42,900 patients have participated in our clinical trials, helping to advance the science of cancer care.

Patient Advocacy

At US Oncology, we help patients gain greater access to quality cancer care. Through various patient assistance support programs, we have helped more than 11,000 patients obtain more than $80 million in financial assistance. We work with federal, state and local legislators, as well as government and private payers to foster a greater understanding about oncology patient care and the vital role community oncology practices play in the lives of cancer patients and their families.

Integrated Cancer Care
At US Oncology, we believe that integrated cancer care delivered in the community setting is the best way to advance cancer care. We also believe that all cancer patients should have access to integrated, outpatient care close to home. That’s why we help physicians expand patient access to state-of-the-art technologies, world-class research trials, and evidence-based treatment guidelines.

We provide patients with the collective cancer-fighting knowledge of more than 1,300 physicians — all united to advance the quality of cancer care. Integrated cancer care means that each patient’s cancer care team operates together, typically under one roof. At integrated cancer centers, patients may receive a variety of vital medical services, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, medical imaging, participation in clinical trials, and other ancillary medical and support services. US Oncology supports the operations of 83 integrated cancer centers across the nation.
