The Dudick Family

Dear Mr. Weekley,

My husband and I recently purchased a David Weekley home in Hickory Flat, Canton, Georgia. We worked with Therese Brown and Bob Poole during the process. The home we purchased was already constructed, which worked well with our time frame. I wanted to let you know that we could not have asked for better people to work with than Therese and Bob! Both were the epitome of professionalism, and were excellent representatives of David Weekley Homes. They answered emails quickly, and always went above and beyond our expectations in offering solutions to our questions. They are also courteous, knowledgable and friendly. I give them a 10+! We were under contract to purchase a home at Soleil at Laurel Canyon and had a nightmare experience. After going through that, it made our David Weekley experience even more remarkable. Kudos to you all, for having people like Therese and Bob working for you. We had lived in a David Weekley home in Dallas, had bought it from the original owners, and liked it very much. For these reasons, we would highly recommend a David Weekley purchase to others.

With sincere appreciation,
Helen Dudick

Mike White

Dear Mr. Weekley,

My name is Mike White and I own a home in Shadowridge Estates, a Weekley community built in the late 1990’s. In January of this year I decided that it was time to replace the 15 year old AC unit instead of having the home warranty company continue to apply Band-Aids to the problems. When our new AC installer applied for a permit, it was rejected because there were three expired permits on the property. One was for the pool, another on the deck, and to my surprise the original permit on the house had never been closed and no occupancy permit had been issued. I am the third owner of this property. It’s strange, to say the least, that a new house could be finished and moved into without an Occupancy Permit.

Just on a chance, I called your office and was put in contact with Annette Adair. I must say, without her positive can do attitude and seemingly constant attention to this problem, I might not have ever gotten off the first step of what is sure to be a long painful process. Today, the city came out and issued the Occupancy Permit and I can now move on the expired permits on the deck and pool. I only wish there were someone as dedicated and concerned as Annette to call for those issues, but I know for sure the pool company went out of business shortly after finishing the pool in 1998 and it’s unlikely that the deck company is still around.

Employees like Annette are one of the reasons that David Weekley Homes thrives in this market and has a great track record. We moved from Legend Oaks, to this home, and I’m fairly sure this problem would not have been resolved by my former builder. Again, pass along our gratitude and appreciation to Annette for a job well done.

Sincerely,
Mike White

The McGarry Family

Dear Mr. Weekley,

I've never written a letter like this before, but my wife and I wanted to take a moment to bring attention to the outstanding staff at the Stapleton development in Denver, CO.

We've built a home once before and have heard the horror stories from others. Throughout this process we've been waiting for a setback or disappointment and neither materialized. While it's possible we were just lucky, given the amount of customization and changes we requested that is not likely the case.

The entire sales and building process went as smoothly as one could hope for. That could not have happened without the incredible dedication and professionalism exhibited by the sales and building staff. In particular, Elizabeth Finnerty (Sales Consultant) and Scott Harkins (Builder) were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout.

After our decision to move to the Stapleton community, we narrowed our builder choices to two. The David Weekley lots were not in our preferred location, but due to the efforts of Ms. Finnerty we were persuaded that DWH was the right builder for us. We are so glad she convinced us.

As for Mr. Harkins, he repeatedly exceeded our expectations in making sure every detail was perfect. In a couple of instances he had work redone to correct minor imperfections that made a big difference in the satisfaction with our home. Despite these issues, he still delivered the home to us ahead of schedule, which really helped us out. We hope the efforts of Ms. Filmerty and Mr. Harkins do not go unnoticed by your firm as they are helping to build David Weekley Homes' outstanding reputation throughout the community.

Sincerely,
The McGarry Family

The Near Family

Dear Mr. Weekley,

My wife and I are thrilled with our new home in Carolina Park ( lot 41 ) due in large part to the efforts of Will Flynn. We thought you should know that Will Flynn is an exceptional employee who consistently exceeds our expectations. He is pleasant, courteous, and always helpful. He has made our home buying experience a pleasure. We feel he is always concerned about pleasing us and making sure that everything is perfect in our new home.

Please take the time to let him know how very much we value and appreciate all that he has done for us. He is a really nice guy and it is a privilege to know him.

Dear Mr. Weekley,

I would like to take this opportunity to commend your huilding process as my family just moved into our new home located in Triana sub-division Helotes, Texas. Not only do I want to praise your entire group but there are two individuals who deserve special recognition. The two individuals that deserve such praise are Thea Upshaw &. Trey Lundberg. Our process started out like any normal build, no problems, no issues Thea and Trey called each week to apprise our family ofthe home building process and where we wew in the process. The folks at the design center were most accommodating as well. Our family includes nine people two dogs and 3 cats, we were coming from a 2400 square foot home and having the Evanson built with the bonus room, as you can see we need a lot of room!

From the very beginning Thea and Trey made us feel like family and they were genuinely interested in our little family, whenever we would stop by the model Thea was such a gem and always had time for us. When the concrete was being poured Trey wanted to personalize our experience and he had us come out and write all of our names in the sidewalk coming up to the front porch! That really got our children excited about a new home, it also helped our autistic twins understand a better time frame of when we would be moving as children with autism need to have a set schedule and know step by step when things are happening. That is another part of our family that Thea and Trey went out of their way to help our family with.

The home we were in sold in January and we closed in February so we were able to take off the contingency, what a huge relief we were one step closer to our dream home! Trey who was our builder just seemed to personalize our experience so much. Our home wasn't supposed to be finished until the end of April, low and behold the finish date was fast approaching we could not believe our eyes. It came time for us to do our final wallkthrough with Trey and our Realtor. When my husband and I walked into the house we just could not believe our eyes, everything was perfect beyond any dream that we had even pictured in our head! We continued to finish up our loan ~nd then it hit. my husband is a disabled vet and we decided to go V A financing, the lender we chose was not the preferred lender. this was om first mistake! The underwriter decided that he did not want to do a manual underwrite on our loan three weeks from moving into our new home, we had to switch lenders! Now also to add into the heat of emotions our leaseback was only good until April 29th after that we were out of a place to live, I was never so scared in all of my life! That is where your team of professionals stepped in; they were in constant contact with me and my husband along with our new lender. We were able to get our new loan closed on April 26th what an accompiishmenl I might add! A little over three weeks to get a 1oan closed and funded. Thea was there for support and Trey was also there letting us know he was taking care of our home, having someone water the new grass and making sure the home was clean and ready at a moment's notice for us to move in. These two folks went above and beyond I am sure what their job description entails. They are the backbone of your corporation! I would be proud to have these two represent David Weekley. If there is any special reward or recognition these two deserve every bit of that. I do not know what your set of core values are for your company, but I can tell you those two folks shine as brightly as stars! They didn't treat us like a customer, they didn't treat us like a sale, when things with our loan got a little rocky they didn't panic! They were in it for the long haul and for whatever it took to get us closed and into our new home! They treated us like family and still do, and the nice thing in today's world is to find people as refreshing as that. What we experienced was true service something very hard to come by in our ever changing world. Once again thank you for making our famiilies dream comes to reality we will be forever grateful for the fine staff at David Weekley and two of the brightest stars Thea Upshaw and Trey Lundberg,

Best Regards,
The Brown Family

Dear Mr. Weekley

My husband told me that he stopped by the office (Len Menezes) Sunday after stopping at the store, I was home taking a nap after our church service. I stopped by to give you a hug but, not to say good-bye, thats always hard for me in dealing with people that I find dear to my heart. When I drove up to the office and saw the sign 'sold' I immediately got really sad. I know that you guys were here for a period to get the job done, but still its going to be very hard knowing that you are no longer in that office, which such a "pleasant smile" and warm personality. We will truly miss you...... I am not sure where you will be located near the Woodlands but my job will be moving to the Woodlands sometime next year.

Thanks for making our process in moving to Summerwood such a great experience. If I come across anyone looking for a home in the area where you will be working, I will certainly refer them to you.

May God continue to bless you!

Sincerely,
The Ford Family

Dear Mr. Weekley,

I am writing today because I wanted to express how pleased I was with the process of buying and building my first home. Elizabeth, our sales consultant, was extremely welcoming from the beginning and made the process of buying a home so easy. I was able to look at a model of what I would be buying and sign on that very day. Cole, our home builder, was there to answer any questions we had (and there were more than a few!) while walking us through the process. From day one, I was kept up to date regularly with emails, phone calls, and photos. As the process progressed, I felt extremely fortunate to be working with such a wonderful and patient team. We felt as though we were the only people they were working with, even though we knew they had many other houses just like ours going up at the same time. Cole was able to work in our request for custom cables in our living room ceiling and later, touched up the paint himself after some sheetrock work was done. Elizabeth was there every step of the way to help with everything we needed, including when I was a bit indecisive about...well, a lot of things, she was always enthusiastic and very kind. At the end of the process, they were even able to make my house extra special by bringing in a piece of my career as a librarian into my living room with a customized book shelf. Seeing my home completed was just a dream come true and the process was extremely easy and stress free, thanks to Cole and Elizabeth.

Sincerely,
