Chesmar Homes marks its sixth year of building homes. The Houston based business began operations on April 22, 2005 with its entry into Spring, Texas City and The Woodlands communities with a single "first time buyer" plan series later that year. The company to date has grown from that initial entry into the market to an offering of seven different plan series ranging in price from the $140s to the $350s, in fifteen well appointed communities all around Houston. In January, 2011 Chesmar Homes celebrated its 1500th closed home.

Most recently Chesmar has introduced a luxury patio home series in Sugar Land's Telfair community, and a townhome series called Cheswood Manor of The Woodlands. "The townhome project has been phenomenally received," stated Scott Merovitch, V. P. of Sales and Marketing. "When completed Cheswood Manor will be comprised of fifty-two homes, and three months into construction we've already taken thirty-eight sales!" The Woodlands townhome community is conveniently located in Sterling Ridge within walking distance of schools, a library, and the YMCA.

Chesmar debuted its Telfair patio homes in March, 2011 with six plans that include custom-style features. Single- and two-story homes showcase impressive architecture, Kent Moore cabinetry, granite countertops throughout, natural stone fireplaces and private outdoor living areas. A complete appliance package is included with GE Profile double-oven cooking, a side-by-side refrigerator and front-load washer/dryer set. "We listened to what home buyers said they wanted in a patio home and we focused on developing a product to fit the bill." said Jana Blackburn, Chesmar's Director of Design. "We feel we hit the mark and it is very nice to hear that echoed by our buyers."
