St. Stephen’s Episcopal School–Houston is a parish day school and enjoys a close partnership with St. Stephen’s church, which is known for its progressive and forward-thinking views on faith. The school offers education to children in Grades PreK–12 and has an open enrollment. The school has small class sizes and focuses on each student as a unique individual.
In Grades PreK–6, classes embrace Montessori principles while the middle and high school classes transition from into a more traditional learning environment. This combination of learning experiences inspires students toward spiritual growth, creative expression, responsible citizenship and academic success in higher education.
Set in the beautiful Montrose neighborhood of Houston, St. Stephen’s campus is made up of a collection of remodeled 1930s-era houses.
In addition, St. Stephen’s is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Granting Programme for Grades 11 and 12, with the expectation of offering the degree program beginning in fall 2014.
